Cardiac Surgery Stepdown Staff RN - PRN
Additional Information About the RolePRNThis unit supports the care continuum for the post-surgical cardiac patient. Nurses provide specialized acute care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. It is recognized as a Center of Excellence for left ventricular assist device implantation and management and care of the patient after heart transplantation surgery. Nurses in this environment possess strong critical thinking skills and are able to make autonomous decisions. Nurses also have the opportunity to be involved in the patient’s progress from the immediate post-op period through discharge.
