The MCS/VAD Coordinator ( Clinical Nurse IV) will provide individualized care in the inpatient and outpatient environments under the direction and in collaboration with VAD supervising physicians. Major functions include clinical expertise to provide direct comprehensive patient care management, consultations, education, and research, inter and intradepartmental liaison, resources, and leadership for specific care populations across the healthcare continuum. Report directly to the Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program and Nurse Manager.
Salary range :$68.79-$98.22/hourly
- Current CA licenses of RN or NP -required.
- BSN or MSN - required
- CCRN, PALS -preferred
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC- required
- ACLS certification from AHA- required
- 5 years in critical care experience -required.
- Knowledge and skills of nursing care-required
- Knowledge of cardiology and heart transplant-required
- Knowledge of normal cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology-required
- Ability to identify common cardiopulmonary pathophysiology-required
- Physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions-required
