Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients. This position has a 30 minute response time for on call for weeknights, weekends and holidays in addition to regular scheduled shifts Our progressive and innovative surgical team fosters an environment that is challenging, dynamic, and state-of-the-art. Be a part of the dynamic team in our progressive Perioperative Division, providing cutting edge surgery. Our Operating Room Suites consist of twenty-nine rooms. Last year the Main OR treated in excess of 15,000 patients. Because we are part of an academic medical center, as well as a Level I Trauma Center, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of patients and experiences. Some of the OR services we provide on a daily basis include: General, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedic, ENT, Transplantation, Gynecology, Urology, Plastic and Reconstructive, and Pediatric Surgery. Certification is encouraged and financially rewarded.
Any requirements for monthly on-call or weekend rotations will be discussed during the interview process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by State of employment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: Able to sit occasionally; stand constantly; walk frequently. Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally. Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally. Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
