We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative and supportive Neurosurgery team at Methodist Hospital! 

Position Details:

• Full-time, Night Shift 
  • 3 12-hour shifts per week, 6:00pm - 6:30am 
• Every 3rd weekend requirement 
• No call
• 100% inpatient
• Team includes 14 physicians and 13 APPs
• Neurotrauma, neurovascular, and neurosurgical patients (i.e. stenosis, brain and spinal cord tumors, ICU)
• $10,000 Sign On Bonus with 2-year work commitment 

Key Responsibilities:

• See neurosurgery consults
• Patient care coordination
• Ordering diagnostic imaging and labs
• Perform complete neurological exams
• Interpret data and imaging results
• Assist in developing the plan of care for patients
• Procedures include intracranial pressure monitors, extraventricular drains, lumbar punctures and shunt tap.

Qualifications:

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible 
• ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
• Practicing APP with neurosurgery experience preferred
• At least 1 year of Neuro Critical Care, Ortho spine bedside experience preferred
• New grads wo completed clinical hours with department will also be considered
