Expected Starting Salary: - Exempt Multi-organ Pediatric Transplant Surgeon Faculty position at the Assistant/ Associate/ Professor level The Transplant & Living Donor Program in the Division of Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery at Cincinnati Children's is actively recruiting a multidisciplinary abdominal organ transplant surgeon at the Assistant, Associate or Professorship level. The Transplant Program is recognized nationally for its innovation, robust clinical activity and outcomes, and interdisciplinary research. In addition, the transplant center oversees an active hepatic and pancreatic surgical practice. The academic appointment of this position will be in the Department of Surgery and will be allocated 100% to the Transplant Program.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Experience with living donor liver transplantation, including both donor and recipient operations
Trained in hepatic-biliary and pancreatic surgery, including robotic surgery
Cross trained in kidney transplantation, laparoscopic kidney donors and have experience with pediatric transplants
Candidates should meet the OPTN/UNOS Certification for primary kidney and liver transplant surgeon
Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery or equivalency
Completion of a transplant surgery fellowship at an ASTS approved program
Obtain an unrestricted and Ohio Medical license prior to starting employment
The candidate should have a strong interest in clinical research, teaching, and program development

M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree
Current active medical license or eligible for medical license in Ohio
Appropriate medical credentialing through CCHMC Medical Staff Services

Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the specific needs of the hiring department
Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility
Preferred:
Board certification or board eligibility in the specialty and/or subspecialty of the position Associate Professor - Clinical Qualifications Required:
M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree
Current active/ unrestricted medical license in Ohio or eligible for medical license in Ohio
Appropriate medical credentialing through CCHMC Medical Staff Services
Completion of all HR required pre-employment activities (screening, background check, badging, and orientation)
May require subspecialty training in the specific clinical area
Five to seven years of prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the specific needs of the hiring department
Associate professor appointment or eligibility
Preferred:
Board certification in the specialty and/or subspecialty of the position
Prior experience in a complex academic medical setting strongly preferred
Managerial experience could be a plus Professor - Clinical Qualifications Required:
M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
Current active/ unrestricted medical license in Ohio or eligible for medical license in Ohio
