The Community You’ll Be Caring For:
As one of the premier children’s health systems in the nation, AdventHealth for Children sets the standard for innovation, quality and comprehensive care. Our technologically advanced, flagship facility is designed by Walt Disney Imagineers to be child-friendly.
Across Central Florida, there are more than 300 dedicated, pediatric beds — 200 of which are located at the tertiary children’s hospital in Orlando.
We have assembled a world-class team of doctors, specialists, nurses and health care professionals that utilizes some of the most advanced technologies, therapies and treatments available to care for our patients. This includes 140 pediatric specialists practicing 35 subspecialties and 800+ Pediatric specialty trained staff.
For a second time, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has granted AdventHealth for Children Magnet® recognition, which establishes the hospital as a national leader in nursing and patient care. Only seven-percent of the nation’s hospitals have received this recognition.

Unit Highlights:
Since opening our doors in 1908, AdventHealth has offered one of the most comprehensive children’s health programs in Central Florida. Today, we continue this legacy of pediatric excellence at the Magnet® recognized Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children.
Our campus is home to 30 pediatric sub-specialties led by a team of 400+ nurses and physicians. We provide specialized care in various state-of-the-art settings, including an 81-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with private family-centered rooms, an Advanced Center for Pediatric Surgery handling nearly 4,000 cases each year, and one of the few pediatric oncology programs in the area.
We’re also Central Florida’s only pediatric provider for bone marrow transplant, kidney transplant, Gamma Knife services, trilogy radiation and Level III epilepsy care. But perhaps most exciting of all, is that this is the first—and only—hospital to bear the Disney® name.
The role you’ll contribute: The Neonatal ICU Float Team Nurse will be required to float to all NICU units within the predetermined float pool coverage areas. This will include floating to NICU locations at AdventHealth Winter Park, AdventHealth Celebration, AdventHealth Altamonte and Adventhealth Orlando to perform duties that match their skill set and competency level. They will be required to maintain all necessary licensures, education competencies, and certifications to perform their necessary job duties.
