Registered Nurse - Liver Transplant Coordinator
The transplant coordinator functions as the liaison between the patients and staff member of the liver transplant team, and the referring VA team, and has the primary responsibility for providing indirect patient driven care for transplant patients in the evaluation , wait list management, and subsequent follow- up post-transplant phase of the transplantation process. The transplant coordinator arranges for patients to be evaluated as candidates for transplantation and evaluates them. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified
