In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) - Inpatient Cellular Therapy Service (DAYS)
Hours: 7 am-7:30 pm with weekend and holiday rotation required
We are looking to hire an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to deliver comprehensive care to patients receiving both commercial and investigational Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cells (CAR-T) on the inpatient Cellular Therapy Service (CTS). This role will require rotation between CTS and the adult blood and marrow transplant (BMT) service based on patient census and staffing needs. This role would require meeting the medical and psychosocial needs of this unique patient population, implementing and evaluating standards of care, and participating in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care. YOU WILL:- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Deliver comprehensive care to adult Cellular Therapy and BMT patients in an inpatient setting
- Meet the medical needs of these patients
- Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR AN NP APPLICANTS ARE:- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 3+ years of related clinical experience is preferred
- Related National NP certification
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR A PA APPLICANTS ARE:- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or able to qualify for state licensure
- A minimum of 3 years of similar experience is preferred
