The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible to maintain efficient utilization of resources, appraise research protocols, meet legal requirements and projects budgetary needs for all AHCI clinical trials under the supervision of the principal investigator department leadership, and AdventHealth. Responsible for pursuing revenue-generating clinical trials and the negotiation for all sponsored information (ie: contracts and budgets). Works effectively with AdventHealth Institutional Review Board (AHIRB) and AdventHealth Office of Research Administration (AHORA) to ensure smooth operations. In Oncology, works with sponsors and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) for the initiation and completion of clinical research studies and serves as the leader over Research Coordinators and Nurses and their activities.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Performs all duties as necessary for Clinical Research Nurse role
- Coordinate study monitor visits with staff and Medical Director
- Initiates and coordinates ongoing marketing efforts to research sponsors and CROs to procure clinical research protocols. 4860 does not require protocol procurement responsibility.
- Implements steps necessary to meet compliance of outside regulatory agencies (i.e.: OHRP/FDA).
- Analyzes and evaluates clinical trials for their impact on AdventHealth’s (financial, etc) liability and relevance to patient safety.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
- 7700 - Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator, CCRC (per Association of Clinical Research Professionals - ACRP)
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Minimum of three years’ experience in clinical research (4860 – minimum of 18 months experience in clinical research accepted with nursing management experience)
- For 9574 and 7700 - Minimum of five years’ or for 7472 and 7511, seven years’ experience, as Registered Nurse
- For 7700 - Minimum of two years’ experience in oncology
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or other (clinical) area
- Minimum of one year experience in database management (if in 9574 and 7700)
- Minimum of one year experience in Transplant (if in 7472 or 7511)
- Certification as a Oncology Educator (if in 9574 and 7700)
- Certification in Clinical Research (if in 7472 or 7511)
- Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator, CCRC (per Association of Clinical Research Professionals – ACRP or SOCRA—Society of Clinical Research Associates)
