The Senior Director, Administrator will provide leadership, direction on the day-day operations for the Banner University Medical Group market for ambulatory multi-specialty clinics. Partner with the leadership team at the local, system and division level on strategic planning and new business development.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position has overall accountability for providing leadership, direction, and administration of day-to-day operations for a designated Banner-University Medical Group market, while maintaining a high level of visibility at the entity, Division and System levels. Provides direction and leadership accountability for Executive Directors and Department Administrators and overall leadership responsibilities including oversight of daily operations. Serves as a member of the executive leadership team at the entity and Division levels as well as strategic planning and new business development
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. This position has overall accountability for providing leadership, direction, and leadership accountability for the Executive Directors and Department Administrators. Partners with Institute leadership to oversee and facilitate growth initiatives and operations for a designated BUMG market, while maintaining a high level of visibility at the entity, Division, and System levels.
2. Provides leadership, supervision, guidance, and development for staff, articulating and demonstrating an expectation for continuous quality improvement, as well as continually supporting and exhibiting company values and service standards. Identifies talent, provides growth opportunities, and mentors staff.
3. Strategizes and drives process improvements focused on innovative care delivery and/or operational models designed to improve clinical services, outcomes, patient throughput, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Supports a patient-centered, healing environment. Champions, models, and promotes service excellence philosophies and behaviors at the entity, Division, and System levels to enhance the overall patient experience. Promotes and models positive relationships amongst various entities.
4. Encourages the use and implementation of technology in the workplace in order to streamline operations, facilitate communications, and optimize results. Partners with the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure operations are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Fosters an environment that focuses on processes and outcomes.
5. Promotes a high level of collaboration within a highly matrixed team environment in order to coordinate activities, review work, exchange information, and resolve problems. Partners with Department Chairs to provide oversight of the financial and operational performance in its clinical practices, research, education, and training activities. Partners with Institute leaders to support growth and operations.
6. Functions as an integral member of a designated BUMG market Operations, Division, and System leadership teams and serves in an advisory capacity. Directs and provides oversight regarding the strategic development, implementation, and maintenance of strong, comprehensive clinical and operational services and programs that meet system-wide organizational growth initiatives and the needs of patient populations in the community. Leads and influences change at the entity, Division, and System levels. Provides leadership and actively participates in the development and implementation of strategic, tactical, program, and operational planning.
7. Promotes financial stewardship and clinical excellence for the entity/campus in both operational and capital acquisition processes. Allocates financial, information, and human capital for improvement activities, ensuring the efficient delivery of cost effective services to patients, physicians, and BUMG clinics. Establishes performance measures, assesses and evaluates operations, and works with the leadership team to assure efficient and effective delivery of services.
8. This position has administrative leadership responsibility for the daily operation of multiple clinics and operations departments. Responsible for coordinating services with other administrators, internal legal counsel, executives, and other staff. This position has constant contact with staff members, frequent contact with other medical center division and department heads, and with medical staff. Customers of this position are both internal and external, including leadership, staff, medical staff, regulatory agencies, and the community.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Banner Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge of healthcare operations as normally obtained through the completion of a Master???s Degree in Business, Health Services Administration, or a related field and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible managerial experience in applicable area(s) of position responsibility.
Experience implementing high quality services and programs in a healthcare environment. Proven track record of partnering with medical staff to achieve desired facility-specific and organizational outcomes. Proven experience in leading fiscally sound, profitable, efficient, and responsible healthcare operations, particularly in clinical, professional, and support programs. Strong financial and business acumen. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting methodologies. Knowledge of modern national trends in hospital quality and patient safety. Skilled in effectively handling multiple conflicting assignments, demands, and priorities with great attention to detail; coaching direct reports and/or other employees by providing open and honest feedback that results in enhanced performance outcomes; setting and pursuing aggressive goals that demonstrate a strong commitment to organizational success; effectively allocating resources in order to accomplish projects; quickly assessing and assimilating organizational and industry financial dynamics in order to act quickly on new initiatives; negotiating win-win scenarios with outside vendors/partners while representing the organization in the best possible light; developing collaborative relationships with physicians, joint-ventures, strategic partners, and/or other applicable parties; maintaining a high level of organization with strong attention to detail in order to respond quickly to varying situations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) membership.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
