M Health Fairview has an opening for a Medical Assistant to provide professional, quality care to patients in the ambulatory setting.

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.
This is a casual (0.01 FTE) opening, meaning there are no guaranteed/scheduled hours per pay period and the position is not eligible for benefits.
8AM to 5PM Monday - Friday
To be successful the Medical Assistant must:
Room patients, take vitals and health history, document in an electronic medical record, give injections and assist with minor procedures
Gather information and documents to support the patient visit
Be responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines
Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team
Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow
Current Medical Assistant certification by the AAMA or AMT or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
License Practical Nurse (LPN) through the MN Board of Nursing
Current BLS certification required upon hire
Previous experience in a clinic setting
Willingness and ability to work at other locations
