DNFC Coordinator Full Time Day Shift Abrazo Regional Office The Diagnosis Not Final Coded is responsible for the coordination of missing documentation, works with physicians for missing documentation and all ancillary departments responsible for this information. Maintains responsibility for monitoring the A130 and coordination with the coders to assure timely coding and billing. Assists with the written queries, follow up calls, etc. Works other HPF queues to validate appropriate code holds in conjunction with PBAR code holds. Generates reports from Showcase and On Demand to reduce CARDS holds.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook. Excellent analytical skills as well as customer service skills.
Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate degree in Health Information related field preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year medical records or similar work experience required, acute care preferred but could also encompass medical office experience. Electronic record experience with knowledge of electronic record systems.Must possess analytical skills as they pertain to incomplete medical records, strong verbal communication skills for interaction with senior level management and medical staff members..
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong technical background and electronic record experience.
