TheReferral Advisor Representative acts as an initial screener and provider of informationregarding physician referral, product line and seminar programs. Duties include: Caller education, confirmation calls,frequent contact with hospital personnel, physician offices, their staff andpotential patients. In addition, a SeniorReferral Services Rep is a subject matter expert and will support otherReferral Services Reps with questions. The Senior Rep is trained to handle allfunctions within unit and will support in whichever function as directed bytheir leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Others may beassigned.
Measuredby monthly average combination of phone activity and date entry projects ascalculated on the daily activity sheet.
Meetsvolume output in order to successfully meet call volume demands.
Maintainsgoals within a standard acceptance level. Goals to include work time above 80%.
Offersall physician referral callers assistance in setting up appointment withphysician by conferencing directly to doctorâs office.
Positionrequires accuracy and precision to meet standards.
UsingCall Center database application accurately completes computer input on eachreferral/reservation as required based on call criteria.
Useof telephone communication skills in each of the following areas:
Greetingâ greeting calls with name, in a positive manner and follows greeting scripts.
CallerDetails â gathering accurate caller demographics, advertising source, etc.
TechnicalSkills â following scripts for program descriptions, location, directions andcall guides as appropriate.
Communicationâ conducting calls with appropriate voice and tone, correct call transitiontechniques, effective listening skills, good grammar and ability to displaycontrol of call.
Followsprotocol in instances weâre unable to assist caller.
Demonstratesability to adapt to varied age-specific populations although, this position hasno responsibility for treatment or care of patients.
Positionrequires complete knowledge and understanding of medical terminology as itrelates to physician referral, product line and seminar programs.
Understandsthe need for and communicates the approved physician referral Safe Harbordisclosure statement on each phone contact for which physician referrals aremade.
Attendance and Punctuality
Employeemeets minimum standard of no more than three absences per six-month period andno more than five minutes late, seven times in any six-month period.
Reportsto work and leaves work at designated shift and all deviations in shift time(early or late) are approved by supervisor prior to change in shift.
Attendsand participates in meetings and trainings as scheduled to stay abreast ofchanges and upcoming events. Responsiblefor keeping current with all information communicated.
Attendsmandatory meetings (or on-line training) and remains in compliance with companyEthics program and guidelines established for HIPPA compliance.
Maintainsconfidentiality regarding patient/employee/facility/corporate information 100%of the time.
Supportsthe Business Plan of Tenet Healthcare Corporation, its hospitals and the TenetCall Center.
Performsother reasonable and related duties as assigned.

Medicalterminology a plus.

MinimumHigh School Diploma or GED required
Requiresexcellent telephone customer service skills with basic typing ability andworking knowledge of a Windows based computer environment.
CallCenter or similar customer service experience preferred.
Three(3) years of customer service experience preferred
