The Occupational Health Nurse endeavors to promote health and safety to all employees by facilitating an Employee Health Program which includes disease detection, prevention, and treatment; following up employee illnesses and injuries; conducting employee health screenings; and, promoting a safe work environment.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. Must hold a valid RN license to practice in Virginia.
Preferred Education: BSN preferred.
All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
Experience: Two years of nursing experience is required. Current or previous Occupational Health experience highly desired.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; BSN preferred. BLS required.
