The UW Health Transplant Program is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our growing cardiopulmonary transplant team: Join REMARKABLE nurses providing care to transplant recipients from Wisconsin and around the world. Apply critical thinking skills in caring for complex patients in a rapidly changing environment. Provide hope and save lives through helping manage patients through the transplant process, from referral through transplant. Contribute innovative approaches to organ transplant through research.
Education: Minimum - Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of experience and education. Preferred - A Master’s degree in Nursing or relevant area may be used to substitute for one (1) year of clinical experience.
Work Experience: Minimum - Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience. Progressive nursing experience with demonstrated success. Preferred - Two (2) years of transplant or closely related nursing experience
Licenses and Certifications: Minimum - Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Wisconsin Preferred -
Physical Requirements: Light: Ability to life up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Work Schedule: 100%FTE, 40 hours. Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. On-Call Responsibility - Provide on-call service on evenings, weekends and holidays when the transplant office and Clinic is closed.
