The primary job function of the Clinical Data Specialist (CROWNWeb Coordinator) is to maintain high clinical data submission rates for CROWNWeb (CW) and satisfy all compliance requirements for the program. This entails ongoing review of all systems to be sure that patient information is consistent, accurate, and complete. It requires timely action to coordinate the correction of data that is found to be inconsistent, incomplete, or inaccurate. As the liaison between Satellite's data warehouse manager, IS Helpdesk, the centers, Accounts Receivable, CROWNWeb, SPIN/IT, and the ESRD Networks, ongoing communication is required to achieve the following goals:
Successful electronic submission of a majority of CW data (goal is 100%)
Accurate patient identifiers for accurate billing, data submission
Maintenance of patient history and status in SPIN, CW
Routine submission of required forms (start, death, census) etc.
The Clinical Data Specialist (CROWNWeb Coordinator) also helps with projects for the Regulatory and Education departments.

Serves as Security Officer with access to CW accounts for all Satellite Dialysis and WellBound centers; considered the subject matter expert for CW
Maintains (activates/deactivates) user accounts and assigns appropriate role and scope
Monitors achievement of annual security training requirements
Notifies account holders of changes, trainings, updates
Trains/assists account holders as needed
Enters CROWNWeb ID into SPIN
Ongoing monitoring /correction of patient identifiers
Contacts centers, Accounts Receivable, CW, Network, and CW data to resolve issues, often direct action has to be taken
Monitors status of Electronic Submissions
Resolves error codes
Identifies and enters missing data
Audits data submission accuracy and works with IT to resolve inaccurate data pulls
Contacts the Network or other providers to check and correct patient status if necessary
Monitors notices from CW to centers to ensure requests are fulfilled (missing forms, incomplete forms, patient activity reports)
Complete or assist with CW data entry, forms, attestations, accretions
Regulatory and/or education projects, as assigned
Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards
Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: One (1) year dialysis center experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
In-depth knowledge/training for CROWNWeb
In-depth knowledge of electronic medical record systems
Excellent computer skills
Knowledge of center processes (Administrative functions/admissions/discharges, etc)
Good communication skills with individuals at all levels both in and outside of the organization
Clinical knowledge of ESRD treatments, meds, labs, other
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Critical thinking skills to problem solve complex issues
Exceptional tracking and follow-through processes
Able to travel to centers for on-site support/training
Able to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate with others in English in person, over the phone and via email
